1 1/2 oz St. George Dry Rye Reposado Gin

1 oz St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur

1 oz fresh grapefruit juice

3 oz tonic water

St. George Dry Rye Reposado is a rich, resiny gin. This recipe makes it light and fruit-forward without sacrificing those qualities—thus the name. We start with grapefruit juice (which has some resiny qualities of its own in its peel) to pull Dry Rye Repo in that fruited direction. The St. George Spiced Pear, which adds cinnamon and clove, complements the incense-like flavors of the Reposado while reinforcing the fruit. The tonic water marries these flavors as it lightens them up for a drink that is full of flavor, but easy to crush. To make it, add everything but the tonic water to a tall glass, then stir to combine. Fill with ice cubes, top with the tonic, and give one more quick stir. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a sprig of rosemary.
