Join us here in Alameda at Admiral Maltings for the third annual IT’S THE MALT Festival, a celebration of malt’s central role in beer and whiskey and everything it takes to get it from grain to glass.
The afternoon will include various tastings and panel discussions, including a conversation with our own head distiller Dave Smith and master distiller Lance Winters facilitated by Admiral Maltings co-founder Ron Silberstein. The discussion will examine the importance of collaboration between the maltster and distiller, the pivotal role of malted barley, and how the distiller unites methodology and craft to create exceptional American Single Malt Whiskeys.
The festival runs 1–5pm, and Lance and Dave's panel is scheduled for 2pm at the band stage in the beer garden.
