As part of the ACSA's 2026 Convention & Expo, St. George head distiller Dave Smith, St. George distiller Chris Jordan, and Clear Creek master distiller Caitlin Bartlemay will host a seminar entitled "Minimizing Methanol Production in Bartlett Pear Brandy." The session will explore the historical context of methanol standards for spirits in the US and abroad, as well as explore the best practices necessary to minimize methanol production in fruits containing pectin, specifically Bartlett pears. Guests must purcase tickets to the ACSA Convention & Expo in order to attend this talk.
