Release news: California Reserve Apple Brandy is here!

Our latest release of California Reserve Apple Brandy has started to roll out—and will be available at the distillery bottle shop starting today!

We'd hoped to bottle this release last fall (hence the 2020 stamp on the label), but... well, you remember 2020, right? In any case, it's finally been bottled and we're excited to share.

Bottles are available at the distillery bottle shop (bottle shop hours are Friday–Sunday, 1pm–5pm) and have also started shipping out elsewhere in California and to other states. If you're not in the neighborhood and able to come by our bottle shop, please keep your eyes out in the coming weeks at your favorite local shops.

As with our previous California Reserve Apple Brandy releases, we sourced a field blend of local apples from a family-owned farm in Mendocino County to make this batch. It was aged 2–9 years in used American and French oak wine casks, as well as used American whiskey casks, with the bulk of the blend coming from barrels that were 6–7 years old at time of bottling.

On the nose: Crisp apple leads the way, supported by notes of honeysuckle and crème brûlée. On the palate, you'll discover warm baking spices, clover honey, and a hint of dark chocolate. We love sipping this one neat, but also recommend trying it in a Sidecar or Jack Rose. Hope you'll enjoy!
