The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2018 semifinalists , and for the third year running, St. George master distiller and president Lance Winters has made the list in the category of Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits Professional. This honor comes just as Lance is marking his 22nd year at St. George, and caps a remarkable decade of new releases and growth for the distillery. Lance reacted to the news by saying, "The greatest honor that can ever be bestowed upon anyone is the company they keep. Based on that, I've been winning for years." It's hard to argue with that, but a James Beard Foundation Award would be pretty sweet, too... so please keep your fingers crossed that he advances to the next round!
